Electric Cars

A bike cannot cover every trip. For the ones it cannot, an efficient EV is the cleanest and, over its life, often the cheapest option. This hub is about buying and running one sensibly: real range, true running costs, and skipping the features you do not need.

What matters when buying

Buy for the range you actually need, not the maximum you can imagine. Most drivers need far less than they think, and a smaller battery is cheaper, lighter, and less carbon-intensive to build. Prioritize efficiency (miles per kWh), a usable charging network, and total cost of ownership over headline horsepower. Home charging changes the math entirely, so plan the two together.
